Not much crafting this week.....

Have it been able to get in the craft room this week as it's full up with the contents of my loft - we sprung a leak from the water tank which decided to drip through the bathroom ceiling!!!! Fingers crossed all repaired now but just giving a few days before putting everything back!!!!!

Anyhow I did finish off my contribution for the Project Life handmade cards a week ago and only just got round to putting them on the blog. Hope the receipients will like them

May Tag swap UKS

Well finally managed to get into the craft room again!!!! Life managed to get a little in the way :(

This is my contribution to the May tag swap on UKS - the theme this month is Flowers so........

The base is actually a wooden spoon and the rest is all die cuts and a sculpey push mould face.

I use Tim Holtz extra large tattered flower die, his pine cone die to make the yellow roses and a Timmy movers and shapers butterfly and a few grungeboard flourishes and crowns. I have used gilding wax, glitter and a bit of bling but they are not showing up too well in this photo.

She's been here a week now..........

Ciara has been with us a whole week now and we're all frazzled - poor Eadie diesn't quite know what to make of this new little arrival!!! She's been severely nipped by some very sharp little teggies but she's wagging her tail all the time so hopefully she'll get used to Ciara.

Handmade Project Life/sn@p cards

I'm currently hosting a swap on UKS to make some handmade Project Life/sn@p cards. this is my contribution so far - just got one more set of 3x4s to do :). Thoroughly enjoyed making these - I'm going to make some more for Eadie and Ciara's sn@p album using some doggie stamps and an embossing folder I found earlier on whilst looking for a particular elusive sizzix die in the craft room.

Introducing Ciara :) or by her full KC name Lessien Lady Eleanor. She is 8 weeks old today and we are going to collect her next Saturday from the breeder to join her big sister Eadie aka Lessien Springtime Bunnykin. I just love Border Terriers.......

I am so excited - I can't wait!!!!

This has jolted my mojo and I am finally going to start my simple stories Sn@p album for Eadie and Ciara.

April Tag Swap on UKS

Finally finished my contribution for the tag swap on UKS. The theme was time which I found a little tricky but then inspiration struck!!!!! Presenting "Witching Hour"..............

Altered paintbrush swap (warning bloody image alert!!!!)

Not entirely happy with this - it was so beautifully pictured in my head - didn't translate well in reality.

My theme was dark, gothy with an example given of Mark Ryden's artwork. I did a quick google and came across this

March Tags - Springtime

The theme for this months tag swap on UKS is Springtime - bit out of my comfort zone using pastel shades - tend to use bold bright colours but here goes.........

Finished altered Angel spoon canvas

I finally finished the Altered Angel spoon canvas for the swap on UKS. It's all packaged up and ready to go in the post to its new home. I do hope the recipient likes her. The photo does not do it justice!!!!!!!

Another giveaway

I appear to have an extra 8x8 altered canvas in the craft room now undecorated after the altered angel spoon canvas swap so............ I'm going to decorate it with an altered spoon in the form of an angel once again and give it away. All you need to do is leave a comment on this post or the other Angel Spoon Canvas on  my blog and I shall lucky dip someone :D. If you are on UKS please leave you UKS username so I can PM you. Altered Canvas project update.....

Well been busy playing in the craft room over the last couple of days and this is how it's looking so far. Still got more embellishments and bits to finish off. What do you reckon????

I am so full of inspiration........

I have been so totally inspired by a particular crafter whilst googling :D. Following on from my newly acquired inspiration I ebayed for polystyrene mannekin heads to alter and I came across a listing that said damaged mannekin heads - minimum of six sent - well I thought to myself - hmmm damaged, dented, moulding quality not up to stratch - does that really matter - I'm going to be altering them anyhow and out of the six there must be at least one or two useable not too bad items so......ordered them Friday afternoon and Saturday morning a very bemused postie stood at my front door with a massive box which he claimed was empty!!!! Well this is what was inside -13 off them!!!!! All in perfect condition apart from two which I feel adds to the alterability of them. Can't wait to get playing.

I wonder if this would make a good swap?????

Altered Canvas Project......

I'm taking part in the Angel Spoon Altered Canvas swap on UKS. Not got a swap partner yet but thought I'd get the canvas prepared ready for painting in my partner's  chosen colour theme. I did two canvases and funnily enough I went with the first one. It's just had its final layer of gesso and drying now waiting to hear who I'm sending to :) - got a couple of little embellies to make too but I'm quite pleased with it so far even without any colour!!!!

Just got to find a spoon too now for my Angel :)

Been playing this morning!!!!!

Having read a post on UKS about enamel dots I was inspired by a tutorial paperandribbons had put up a link for to make you own enamel dots - the tutorial is by Betsy Veldman using plastic pony beads. I have thousands of the things just sat in a cupboard in the craft room so..........

What do you reckon - not bad for my first attemp???

I did have a few not quite so perfect but I can see a beauty in them and will use them on some altered art projects. The yellow and black one fused together reminds of a bee :D

I have made this little Guardian Angel for Cassia on UKS - my first attempt went horribly wrong - not at all the beautiful image I had pictured in my head!!!! Anyhow it's had the desired reaction from my almost 18 year old son - wandering into the craft room at lunch time, having just woke up, announced "cool hat" and walked out. High praise indeed!!!! Anyhow I do hope Cassia likes it too :)
